Simplifi Contact - How do I enable texting from my Simplifi Hosted phone number

To send outbound texts, you must have an authorized texting campaign ID. This is a national requirement; without it, cellular providers may block your messages to their customers.

For outbound texting, you must have an authorized texting campaign ID. This is a national requirement, as the cellular providers of the people you text will block your message from reaching their customer if you do not have an active campaign ID associated with your VOIP business number. 

Simplifi will complete this process for you based on information you provide via a web form AVAILABLE HERE.  The approval process typically takes 1 to 2 weeks provided you have the minimum required online presence and a posted privacy policy (See Examples Below) to let your customers know how you handle the phone numbers you keep on record for texting. 

All of this is vetted by an outside agency called The Campaign Registry, so we are on their timeline for approval.  For reference, we were seeing 3 to 4 months for approval at the end of 2024 and beginning of 2025 when this was a new nationwide requirement.  More recently, we have seen approvals come back within a few days to a few weeks.
