Many times, the first question we hear is why would I disable WiFi? Many times you can disable WiFi to prevent unauthorized connection attempts on your network. This could be done for a couple different reasons, maybe all of your devices are wired, or maybe you already have a router hooked up and you need to connect primary Internet Service. WiFi is currently enabled out of the box
To disable WiFi on your Simplifi
- Ensure you are connected to the Simplifi device either via WiFi or LAN cable
- Open a internet browser and enter 192.168.10.1 or in the event this doesn’t work, you can enter 192.168.2.1 which will work on either WiFi or LAN connection
- Username - Simplifi
- Password - found on the back of your device or on the label found on the packaging box
- Click Login > Network >> Wireless >>> Edit
- Scroll below and click the checkbox for “Hide ESSID”
- Click Save
